We hiked up to Buck Creek pass and spent two nights there and hiked to High Pass on Sunday (Oct 6). There was 1-3 inches of snow at High Pass and there was snow on the trail for 60-70% of the way from Buck Creek Pass to High Pass on our way up. When we came back down most of the snow lower down had already melted. Most of the snow wasn't too hard to cross. There were a few spots that were pretty icy and you had to make sure you had really good hand holds.
