Hiked up to Little Giant Pass, north of Lake Wenatchee. The fall colors are on full display as the huckleberries are thick and ripe.
Great views down into the Napeequa River Valley (aka Shangri-La of the Cascades). Recommend wearing hunter orange clothing as lots of hunters are out. The Chiwawa River crossing is currently about 10 inches deep of cold water.
The road is good, it must have been graded recently. Only a few bumps/rocks to avoid. Fine for any vehicle.
The trail has been recently cleared of downed trees and brush. It does gain 4000 feet to the pass, so be prepared for lots of uphill.
