This was a hike to see a really big tree. I turned right at the sign that said "Big Trees”. Walking down an old logging road about a half mile, I came upon the largest Doug fir, about 10-12 feet in diameter. It was awe-inspiring!
Thimbleberry crowds the trail. A little brush clean-up would be nice.
Not another soul in sight.
I took the Pratt Connector to get there. Later, I wished that I had changed into my sandals to ford the river and taken the shorter route.
