The Abercrombie Trail was in good shape on 19 Aug 24. A friend and I activated this peak for Summits on the Air (SOTA) using the new Elecraft KH1 radio. No trees across the trail and lots of ripe huckleberries. The spring at the 6,000ft switchback mentioned by RichP's PeakBagger report was bone dry; bring plenty of water. There is a summit register in the green ammo can but it looks to be full; please bring a replacement if you go.
