Good morning workout. I hiked to the north peak from the Alpental lot, then scrambled to the middle and south peaks.
The parking lot was already pretty full at 7:30 AM. The trail was in good condition and mostly dry. It was a steep hike all the way to the north peak.
To scramble to the middle peak, follow a dirt path on the right-hand side below the north peak. Then, scramble down a steep gully. There were one or two class 4 moves with exposure. After dropping down, head up the saddle between the north and middle peak on some scree and then it's a straightforward path to the middle peak.
From the middle peak summit, go straight ahead (leaning slightly left) and follow a path around the middle peak summit block. Then, scramble down a slabby rock face, class 3. After that, it's all straightforward.

Thank you for your detailed description about scrambling at the top. I am curious, if you don't want to do the scrambling part, is this trail suitable for 10-12 year old kids?
