Don’t get many rainy hikes in August, but it was definitely raining yesterday on my way up to the lake. The first part of the trail is in great shape; the 2nd half is in fine shape, but is much more rugged, so make sure you know what you are getting into. Lots of rocks and encroaching foliage. It also seems a lot longer than 8.5 miles.
The view of the lake was non-existent for me at 10:15am. Hope it cleared up for some of the later hikers.
Trailhead road was fine for everyone, plenty of parking, stocked toilets. I also needed a hike with cell service today and I had service practically the whole trip. Benefits of hiking near i90.
