My hiking partner and I accessed Snoqualmie Lake trail from the middle fork of the Snoqualmie off of I-90 vs Highway 2. There is a road closure/washout that adds 4 miles on the highway 2 side (so check that before you go).
We had an absolute blast. 6 or so miles long an old forest road next to the middle fork, and then up hill for a little over 2 miles. The trail up was mostly fine, some brushy parts, some areas where we had to rely on cairn's and markers but overall really nice waterfalls, river views and spectacular forests.
Once at Snoqualmie Lake (Deer, Dorothy, etc. are on the other side of this approach) we found a suitable camp site at the outlet. There are 3-4 good sites (some hidden) and 2-3 not so great sites but we were able to get a good one after starting hiking at 9am on a Saturday.
I caught several Rainbow Trout during the evening fishing session using dry flies.
Great trip!
