Ups n Downs on Cutthroat Lakes via Walt Bailey Trail
Appreciate the report, we'd planned on going there on Sunday. Such a shame DNR went to the trouble of putting in three bridges and now it's closed to use at the best time of the year.

The adventurous and determined might attempt via the old trail that runs along the ridge from the Ashland lakes Trail. I went about half way last week and it's still there. My goal was the West Peak of Bald so I didn't continue beyond that.

I saw your report, nice photos! It looks very intriguing. I went a couple hundred yards up the trail from Ashland, but my goal was Twin Falls Lake so I saved it for another day.
(I've been to Island Lake which can be seen in one of the photos - it was interesting to see it from above.)
