This was a two man work party on a trail that needs it. I last did some maintenance here three years ago and the lower part is really brushy. We brushed it back about 1/4 mile up the trail. It gets better higher up. Took out a couple of logs over the trail near the top, but ran out of charge on my battery chainsaw with one large log still over the trail. I'll get back up later this summer to take it out. Partially sunny down near Sequim but a steady misty rain was falling in the hills. The rhododendrons are in full bloom right now on this trail and they were everywhere all along the length of the trail. They look like they should still be in bloom until after the 4th of July. My photo doesn't do it justice. The road up is very potholed in places. It needs to be graded. Still missing a trailhead sign, but it's less than a mile past the Deer Ridge trail parking area. The trail starts on the right or uphill side of the road. Twenty yards up there is still a trail kiosk. .
