I headed out with a WTA trail crew for a 4 day BCRT from Thursday 6/6 - Sunday 6/9.
We met up Thursday morning, plenty of parking spots. Sunday when we hiked out and got to our cars around 2 pm there was also still plenty of parking I thought. The pit toilet at trailhead was relatively clean and still had toilet paper in it.
Hike in: we hiked in 4.5 miles/1076 ft of gain to Red Creek Camp, just before the bridge and set up camp for 3 nights/4 days there.
In 4 days, our 8 person crew removed several downed trees within the first 5ish miles of trail, up to about Mackinaw Shelter. Crew lead Matt said we removed about 20 trees. Part of the crew did take the log off that came down on the bridge right past Red Creek but it's missing some railings due to it now.
We saw several mountaineers pushing for Glacier Peak this weekend, a handful of groups said they summited.
Shoutout to Matt, Tara, and Perry for leading an awesome BCRT trip!
