Iron Bear - Teanaway Ridge — Saturday, Jun. 8, 2024

We arrived at the trailhead at 9:30 a.m. and I was surprised to see so many cars parked along the road and in the parking areas (this is my third time on this trail). Apparently this hike is getting more attention. Despite the number of potential hikers/dirt bikers, the trail was not too crowded. We had great views especially from the top of Iron Bear (which is the main destination for most hikers), along the trail to Joker Mountain, and from the top of Joker Mountain. I’m glad we chose to explore the trail from Iron Bear to Joker Mountain! Jester Mountain was a dud but we can say we did it.
