Wildflowers are in prime! Arrowleaf balsam root, paintbrush, Oregon grape and Saskatoon are full on blooming. Lupine is coming in, and I also spotted trillium, glacier lily, phlox, larkspur, ballhead waterleaf, blue penstemon and more. What a delight! Not a ton of parking but we still got a spot at 10:15am. We parked below the creek crossing- it’s very shallow but muddy. Sure there were a good handful of folks on the trail, but it didn’t feel overcrowded to me like I read in some other trip reports. Lots of cute doggos!
