Beautiful weather this past weekend made for a great 2 night backpack in the valley. Numerous water access points along the trail allow hikers to easily stay hydrated, and the creek crossings had multiple rocks and/or logs in place. As others mentioned, the road in has many potholes, but it should be doable in a sedan. They've done a great job of clearing the trail of fallen logs from the trailhead to O'Neil Creek Camp. From there to the valley, there are about 20 logs to climb, step over, or circumvent, but it's not a problem. We saw a bear between Pyrites and Enchanted Valley, and a small snake at our campsite in the valley. This place lives up to the name.
