Snowfields begin about ¾ of a mile from the falls. They’re slushy and slick, with several sets of tracks running across. Footing was worst over the first one (quite steep), and not so bad on the others. Was glad I brought spikes. There’s an awkward step at the very end of the last patch with a cluster of vines that are tempting to grab but they are covered in tiny thorns, almost invisible. Falls are beautiful and flowing very hard. The crossing there looks doable, though hard not to get wet. I didn’t attempt it.
