Dishman Hills Conservation Area - Flying L Trail — Tuesday, May. 17, 2022

Eastern Washington > Spokane Area/Coeur d'Alene

Arrived at 9 AM at the Phillips Creek Trailhead parking lot, took the Inside Passage turn and finished up at about 10:45 AM. It's a beautiful, mellow hike with sweeping views, meadows, ponderosa pines, old orchard trees and cottonwoods. Arrowleaf Balsamroot, western serviceberry and other wildflowers are blooming. I was fortunate to hike with one of the key volunteers involved in building this trail, local expert Chris Baldini. The trail is in great shape, and we saw a handful of other hikers, all smiles. Grateful for the Conservation Futures Program. A wonderful addition to Dishman Hills and a great legacy for the Phillips family - thank you!
