Ancient Lakes never disappoints in the spring. Parked in the Lower TH as normal and was surprised with relatively few cars for a Saturday morning. Spring is barely visible, a few early wild flowers and the trees and bushes budding heavily; a couple more weeks and the desert will be blooming. Temps in the low 70's day / 40's night are ideal.
Only 8-10 tents scattered around the huge basin and a steady flow of day hikers made for a peaceful inaugural overnight in 2022.
