We hiked this trail on a beautiful day and rewarded with an amazing view all the way. I have read previous trip reports and arrived at the small parking area at 8am for the last few spots. I saw everyone posted the Northwest Forest pass or America the Beautiful pass (still not sure if it's needed). I don't know of other parking in the area to access the trail and our friend who came in later received a $200 ticket when parking down the road from us. We carried our snowshoes but only used Microspikes the whole time, although snowshoes might be helpful in certain areas coming down because of softened snow. It would be helpful to download a trail map from Alltrails or Gaia instead of following those boot paths. The last steep climb was a little dicey with the melting snow from the sun, please be cautious.
