Arrived around 8:30am to an empty lot. I drive in a sedan and did just fine on the road. There is a bathroom at the lower lot as well as much at the hut. I used my micro spikes and poles instead of my snowshoes which was a good choice. The snow had a bit of an ice layer so the spikes helped to keep from slipping. I saw a recent report saying that there are no views on the way up but there are, just through small openings between the trees. Also plenty of little waterfalls along the way. Took me about 2 hours to get to the top. The last mile is where you truly feel the burn in your thighs. All the mountains were out today! The weather was perfect! I had the hut all to myself until around 12 or 12:30. The bathroom at the top is so clean! Glad to have finally check this one off the list!
