Autumn rains are sweeping across the shrub steppe. Darkened highlights of rock and shrub trunks liven up this dreary season landscape. Dried bunch grasses, big leaf sage, rose hips are among many dried plants highlighted against a gray turbulent sky.
We tried looping the entire park but the lower ‘Grasslands’ trail is flooded from flow of Beebe Springs Creek. It was too cold and rainy to spend much time standing around. A good leg stretch though😊
