Goat Creek — Friday, Jul. 30, 2021

Hiked Goat Creek trail to Goat Peak and back.  The trail head is not signed with a name but it is right across Bumping River Road from Cougar Flat campground.  3.5 hours to hike to the top and 2.5 hours down.  A few wildflowers in open areas along the section of the American Ridge Trail which the Goat Creek trail joins about 1 mile before Goat Peak.  Good views from the top of nearby peaks including Mt Aix area and Fife's Peaks and east side of Mt. Rainier but was a bit hazy from wildfire smoke.
