We biked from the Nine Mile Recreation Area (milepost 39.2) on Lake Spokane to the toilets south of the Wilber Trailhead (milepost 33.5). At these toilets (around milepost 31.5), we parked our bikes and walked the half-mile (you could bike this) on trails #211 and #25 to the Swinging Bridge across the Spokane River to the Bowl & Pitcher Area of Riverside State Park. We explored a bit, had lunch, walked back to our bikes, and biked back to our vehicle.
The trail's grade is bike-friendly from Nine-Mile Recreation Area to Carlson Trailhead, but there is a significant uphill right before Carlson. Then it is a series of ups and downs, some significant, as far as we biked. On the return, the hill right before Carlson is a killer.
There are many foot, mountain bike, and horse trails throughout Riverside State Park and I recommend stopping at the Ranger Station near Nine-Mile Falls Dam for an $11 map if you want to explore more than just the Centennial Trail. Pit toilets abound and there are some well-placed benches for admiring the Spokane River.
The Centennial Trail continues all the way to the Idaho border, so we have many miles left to explore.
