Hiked to Thorp lake late in the evening. It was almost impossible to avoid getting your feet wet. First stream crossing is knee deep and the rest are about ankle deep. There was probably a way to navigate around but the water felt good on a hot day. It was also muddy in some sections and a few trees across the trail. Camping sites at the lake are snow free.
Next morning headed for the lookout. Lost the trail around 5300ft because of snow, but just headed up until we would run into a path again. Mixture of compact and slushy snow with a few steep sections.
