Lovely 3-year-old friendly trail and very few people despite the campground access. Started at 8:15 to beat the worst of the heat and had a lovely walk. Lots of wildflowers in the burn area and many woodpeckers flying around. Heading back up to the visitor's center a group coming down the hill had seen a bear that had run off.
Appreciated the tip from a recent trip report to walk the short Sterling Munro boardwalk for views of the Pickets. A great view from the overlook.
