This is the first stop of our Memorial date trip to Olympic N.P.. It looks like this is a popular trail, especially for family hike. We arrived at the trail head at around 11am and the parking lot was full, but we were able to find a spot parking on the road side. The first part of the loop overlapping with the Quinault Rain Forest Trail was very busy. It is a family friendly trail. We encountered many strollers along the trail. We did not see many flowers, probably because it was not the right season. After turning to the Quinault Loop Trail at the junction, there were fewer hikers. The trail condition was good and not steep, which was suitable to hike with toddlers. Our 21 month daughter hiked quite a bit distance. A couple of bridges across creeks and falls added some fun to trail. For the last part of the loop, I failed to navigate the lakeshore trail running through the resorts and private properties, so we ended up with hiking along the drive road back to the parking lot. Our kid played at the lakeshore for the first time. The water was not cold. She really enjoyed it. This loop is not so exciting as I expected, but generally it is fun for kid.
