We did an overnight ski tour from Hatchery Creek to Icicle Ridge TH on Saturday-Sunday 4/17-4/18.
The road has a huge, impassable downed tree across it probably less than a mile from the road turnoff, which adds 2-3 miles to the approach (5 round trip).
The trail itself is in pretty poor condition with lots of blowdown and brush. Around 3600 feet, when the trail wraps around from a south-ish facing aspect to an east-, then north-facing aspect, the snow goes from occasional to intermittent, then full-coverage pretty quickly. We were post-holing in knee-to-waist-deep snow up the slope until we felt we could skin up, around 4200 feet. From there it was full snow coverage. Avy danger is real on the steep, south-facing slopes where the junction is with the trail towards lake Augusta (and down towards Cabin Creek).
I think it'll be a few weeks at least before this is hikeable up to the ridge, and as usual with this trail, it'll be a rugged one.
