South Whidbey State Park — Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021

Oh boy what a day. Felt good to break free from the news and get some fresh air. 
Started by catching the ferry at the new terminal in Mukilteo. I had no idea this was in the works. Great design that should improve the flow of traffic. 
I didn’t do enough research but wanted to find a new beach trail. We wandered through the old campground and some of the trails on the hillside. The map in the lot shows the beach trail is damaged and doesn’t actually go to the beach. If there’s access to the beach we didn’t find it.
We backtracked a bit and drove to Bush Point where there’s a nice beach. Lots of singing birds today.
