In case you didn’t know it, there is now a connector “trail” between these two great paths, the 16th St overpass!
The overpass links Grand Park with the Everett Waterfront, meeting the Milltown Trail close to Lombardi’s. You can head north to make a loop back to Grand Park or head south to Pigeon Creek and the beach.
This was our third time taking the overpass from Grand Park and used it to get some gain in (ran the stairs). We were not alone but most of the path is wide and easy to socially distance when folks are aware. The fall colors were out on the marina side and blue skies over Port Gardner and Jetty Island. There were walkers and runners, alike.
We went before dinner today but have gone after dark to find it well lit and mostly empty. And the bonus, lots of yummy places to eat at the marina!

Really excited to see that bridge done! Great winter/close in walk if you add the arboretum and walk down to the P patch too.

Check out Historic Everett's new map of the Mill Town trail. Dozens of vintage photos from the mill days. https://historiceverett.org/walkingtour/MilltownMap.html#47.9974&-122.2149&17&satellite&1910anderson&00

How very cool! I love seeing these pictures and secretly hoping I will find some one day that include my house (built 1901). It is always interesting when walking in the neighborhood to see street corners where the asphalt is missing and cobblestone shows, reminding me of the city's history.

I'm glad you are enjoying the map! Send a note to historiceverett@gmail.com -- and someone in our group will see if we can find something on your house (if you're in Everett of course).
