Silver Star Mountain — Friday, Aug. 7, 2020

Southwest Washington > Lewis River Region
Silver Star via Grouse Vista

It was the second time we hiked to the Silver Star Mt in two weeks period.

We drove to the Grouse Vista trailhead via L-1200 road, which is much better for a non-off-roading vehicle.

The trail starts off with continuous elevation, first it is lovely forest trail and then it becomes very rocky. The uphill continues for a mile, then takes a small elevated breaks with more uphill.

When we came to the opening, the view were amazing! I loved the clouds, they gave more depth and perspective.

At the conjunction of this trail with Ed's trail, we met huge group of people. The top was crowded. But the company was lovely, people are very friendly and the view worth every effort.
