Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

Nice day hike with easy parking and trail access. Trailhead off of 156th St is well marked and easy to find. A consistent forest canopy kept the hike cool on the steady decent to Fern Cove and the Puget Sound. The return trip back up will make you feel like you got a little exercise. Steep in places, but the trail is mostly dry and in good condition. Total roundtrip for us was 3.24 miles with an elevation gain of 545 feet.

Based on the barred owl warning, we did not include Bill's Trail to our outing.
