Moraine Park - Mystic Lake — Saturday, Jul. 18, 2020

The carbon river log bridge is IN! We decided to go to Mystic Lake today. We started at the carbon river entrance and road our bikes to ipsut creek campground where we locked up our bikes.  The trail is in excellent condition.  The crossing over the creek just before dick creek campground is a bit sketchy, but doable.  It looked like there were 2 possible spots to cross. After the switchbacks past Dick Creek there is intermittent snow that is easy to cross. No snow at mystic lake but lots of mosquitos swarming. Only saw 3 people out that far.  When we finally back to the carbon river entrance we were shocked to see how many cars were parked along both sides of the road, and we heard gun shots coming from the forest roads across the carbon river.
