Cama Beach Historical State Park — Monday, Jul. 6, 2020

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area
marine loop viewpoint

Took an extra day off from the weekend and took to the trails local to home to absorb a sunny day in PNW. Only saw about 5 other people on the trial; a little narrow of a trail to watch the 6-foot COVID rules, so facial coverings highly recommended to cover up when you come up on someone. There were some bugs, but didn't seem to be anything biting.

This trail system is so peaceful, I meandered around most of the options in here and clocked 4.5mi. I went up to Cranberry Lake, went out to the viewpoint/bluff trail, then all the way down to the beach. The food at the cafe smelled delicious!

Plenty of birds tweeting, and frogs croaking and splashing at the lake. So many huckleberries ripe for the picking! Overall a relaxing space out on the island.
