Mount Spokane State Park - Mount Kit Carson Trail — Sunday, Jun. 28, 2020

Eastern Washington > Spokane Area/Coeur d'Alene
View of the valley

Cool Sunday in Spokane - barely 60 degrees at trailhead - also rained on 2 different times during the trip.  Started the hike at 11:30 and only about 10 cars in the lower parking lot and hiked the access road all the way around and up to the top where several trails converge.  Based on son's garmin it was over 5 miles to this point.  Beautiful views out over the valley taking this route and only one other group passed us on mountain bikes.  Ate lunch at junction where several trails converge/meet - flies were a bit annoying on this day.  Took trail 110 back down - beautiful blooming bear grass - quite amazing how much of it there was.  Took a side trail which took us about 1/4 mile down the road from our car so walked the road back.  A wonderful and new hike for us to explore.  About 8 miles total distance.  Another great social distance hike.
