I hiked into the core Enchantment zone via Colchuck Lake.  Aasgard Pass is snow-free until you reach the traverse near the top. There is a good boot path across the snow sections with fairly secure footing. I brought micro-spikes but didn't use them. Some people may be more comfortable with some foot traction, especially if it's icy.

Once you come over the pass there is approximately 80% snow cover heading into the core zone. Lakes are still snow covered. The abundance of snow can make it difficult to find a good, flat campsite unless you're OK with camping on snow. 

The goats are losing their winter coat and look pretty scruffy!
