As said in previous report, I stopped at the patch of snow in the road right after the bridge and parked alongside the road and hiked the extra .8 miles to trailhead. It is still very difficult to get past the waterfall 2/3 of the way but I made it both ways. I was hiking solo but wouldn't recommend it. I'd give it another week or so. There's still a huge amount of snow on the trail and it's very easy to lose the trail. The Lake is full of snow and there are still snow drifts around the lake 6 or 7 feet high. It took me 3 hours to get there. I found a nice patch of dirt under a tree across the lake to put my tent and create a living space by moving away some snow. It's going to be a long time before the snow is gone this year.
