Decided to stay overnight at High rock. Had to park and boot pack in slushy snow on the road for about 2 miles to the trail head. The trail was relatively dry as the previous report stated about a half mile up and then ran into intermediate snow to slushy slick snow at the top.
Shoveled a level pad and set the tent up on the ledge just left the lookout to be set up for the best sunset and sunrise one can ask for. I did the climb in waterproof boots, gaiters and microspikes. Brought snowshoes but they were not needed. Slept right on the ledge and glad I decided not to toss and turn in my sleep lol . Hike on !

that campsite looks to be one of those sort of places whereas you crawl inside your shelter with a good book and simply absorb!

What kind of tent is that? Looks bomb proof

It’s an older NorthFace mountaineering tent. It’s the mountain 24. It is bomb proof.
