Mount Peak (Pinnacle Peak) — Monday, May. 11, 2020

Mount Rainier Area > Chinook Pass - Hwy 410

Took off from Federal Way and used my GPS to find the trailhead with no problem at all. Directions are clear and easy to follow to get there. Got to the parking lot at around 9:15 and found it wasn't too busy or packed. My friend and I headed up the south trial, which wasn't too bad. Not a huge fan of the gravel road, but only because even at 9AM it was already in the 70s and direct sunlight. Anyways, the trail was in great shape and people (including us and our dogs) were stepping off the trail - respectfully to LNT still - to maintain social distancing.

It was so nice and refreshing to have the top practically to ourselves as most people were there doing laps of the trails so they were just passing through. We however, took a moment to sit on the benches and enjoy a trail beer.

Happy trails everyone!
