Hiking Side Hustle

This downhill mountain bike trail can also be used in both directions by hikers. If taken uphill, it is approximately 1,000 feet of elevation gain over 2 miles. If taken downhill, it is about 100 feet of elevation gain (and 1,000 feet of loss). The trail is very close to the East Tiger Mountain summit, and is connected to the Preston RR Grade, Main Tiger Mountain Road and East Tiger Summit trails to the north, and TMT Connector and Iverson RR trails to the south.

WTA Pro Tip: Save a copy of our directions before you leave! App-based driving directions aren't always accurate and data connections may be unreliable as you drive to the trailhead.

Getting There

Though the connector trail doesn't have a trailhead itself, the closest trailhead is the Tiger Summit trailhead.

From I-90, take exit 25. Head south on SR 18 to the Tiger Mountain summit. Here, turn right (west) into a large parking lot. Drive through this lot, then turn left onto a gravel road. Proceed about a quarter mile to a large parking lot on the right. This is a paved lot with a toilet.

The trailhead has about 170 spaces, including equestrian trailer and ADA parking.
