First some Admin- thanks to the other posts correcting trail info: here is a recap and what I found. The directions and description have changed.
The Entrance is at D4000 and D4400. The path is directly across from D4400. There is another named the same next to D4400- Be sure its the one across the gravel road.It is the Mima Falls trail West entry About a 1/2 mile down is the trailhead and a sign, that's where you take a right on Trail #20.Then where it says take Green line 6, that is know the McKenny Trail. At the next intersection Follow the left trail with the McKenny trail and Mima falls sign. That becomes the Lost Valley Trail. At the end of that trail it hits another gravel road, take a left and less than a 1/2 mile there is a trail on the right- Continues the Lost Valley trail. That will lead back to the trailhead. Take the right back on 8/ Mima falls West and will lead back to D4000/D4400.
The hike itself is nice and easy, some moments of real beauty. But it's really nice as a mind dump. Good place to just commune and wash away the world. I'm pretty sure a Fairy on a motorcycle stayed with me most of the way buzzing constantly around my head. I think she was guiding me. Met 6 mountain bikers- and some of the trail is very tight so be careful. Also saw a lot of Trail Apples and sign of horse, but only met a pair at the end. It was a good day, though moments of worry thinking I was on the wrong trails though I couldn't figure out where I went wrong.
Just as I considered retracing things came clear- so keep on trucking. And bug spray- oh yes- bug spray.
