This is definitely more of a "beach outing" than an actual hike. We were camping nearby, so we found some easy trails that our 2.5yo could do on his own and this was one of them. We visited in the afternoon since it took us an hour to get here from our campsite and we wanted our toddler and 8-mo baby to nap on the drive. The parking lot was full but with so many people coming and going a spot opened up fast right on the street in front of the beach. The Lighhouse is open from 12-4pm, and the docents kindly gave us a tour. It is beautiful - thanks to the historical society for preserving this landmark. We enjoyed the sunshine and enjoyed playing on the beach. The sand is lovely and felt good in the sunshine. Great wildlife! Saw some river otters, and lots of harbor porpoises, all close to shore. I'd recommend visiting.

Even though this is listed as a hike, I wouldn't really call this a hiking trail. It is definitely more of a short, nice walk around the lighthouse. All in all this is a nice place to visit. The small lighthouse is fun to check out (if open---odd hours) and the beach is one of the nicest sand beaches in the area. Being a kite, pack a picnic lunch, or even a swimsuit if you're visiting in the deep of summer. Though the water is cool, it is often a busy beach in the summer. The drive here is easy but parking can be difficult. They have added an additional parking lot which has helped quite a lot. There are non flushing bathrooms in the newest parking lot and port a pottys in the lot nearest the lighthouse. Bring layers as the air off the water often is quite cool, even in summer. Enjoy shell hunting, watching shipping containers go by, or a nice stroll. Overall a nice little stop

We hiked this little trail starting at the lighthouse and it was a short, easy hike for the kids (ages 3&6). It is quite windy on the beach, but once you hit the trail it's not really windy at all. The trail starts with a wall of wild rose bushes on each side of you and they were in bloom and smelled amazing. Be very careful near the stairs though as there was an abundance of stinging nettles lining each side of the trail. I would consider this trail to be more in the nature walk category rather than a hike as it was a short 1.45 miles roundtrip for us, but it was still fun.

Just hiked the Point No Point Trail and it's so nice! It doesn't look like there is much of anything from the parking lot, but if you hike around the beach or behind the lighthouse and jump on the little gravel path behind the blackberry bushes, a path leads to a staircase with between 90 and 92 stairs. (I'm not sure why it's so hard to count stairs but I can never seem to get the same number twice.) From the top, a pretty muddy but wide path goes along a ridgeline to another trailhead that looks like it is in a neighborhood. The trail was better, and longer than I thought it was going to be. Highly recommended!

I hiked the trail leading from the Point No Point Lighthouse, through the wetland and into the woods. This is a short hike that I did with my mother of 78 yrs. There are 96 steps but they are in good shape and not steep. We saw a nice selection of dragon flies at the wetland and a good number of chickadees in the woodland. There is a bench at the top of the steps. A great walk for a short day out with family.
