We wanted to go somewhere close to our house and we'd never been here before. I had no idea this was even here, so thanks WTA! :) We only saw a few people while we were there and it is really easy to social distance. There are a lot of little trails and pathways. The best garden area here was the Japanese garden. There is also a rose section that didn't have any roses blooming yet. There are a lot of little side trails to explore! My daughter loved it and kept saying "I'm climbing mountain" every time we came to a little "hill."
Overall I like Kubota Gardens better, but this is still a really nice place and closer to home. It also seems like it would be less crowded.
FYI no bathroom as the community center (which shares the parking lot) is closed due to Covid-19.

The Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden is the home of two historic gardens, Elda Behm's Paradise Garden and the Seike Japanese Garden. I will include links which describe the history of these two gardens. The garden is open daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and admission is free. Besides these 2 gardens there is a formal rose garden, a small fuchsia species area, a pea patch and other flowers in season. The garden is only 12 minutes from our home so was a good place to spend the short time we had for an outing. If you live in White Center, Burien, Des Moines, Sea Tac or Normandy Park, it is a beautiful area to enjoy a variety of plants. The one negative for the area is that it is under the flight pattern for Sea Tac Airport!

This tiny botanical garden is tucked away just north of the airport. We enjoyed the waterfall, all the flowers in bloom, the rose garden and the meditative zen pools and bridges.
From the website: The Garden is situated on approximately 10.5 acres adjacent to the North SeaTac Community Center. Included are two gardens that were physically moved to prevent their demolition during SeaTac Airport’s third runway project.
The trails are gravel and have many intersections, so its easy to get around. in the south east corner there is a community garden that was fun to wander as well. Next door is a BMX park with plenty of bumpy dirt trails to extend your hike. Tons of huge ripe blackberries in that section.
