I actually didn't hike this trail, I rode my bike. The trail is wide and paved, suitable for strollers, roller blades, bikes, etc. There are a few very very gradual rolling hills but for most intents and purposes the trail is flat. I had 4 young kids (age 6-12) with me (on bikes) and they had no trouble with the trail or hills.
Overall its nothing special but if you're in the area its a nice place for a short afternoon walk/bike/roller blade. Its a good alternative to the dirt trails inside the park if you have a stroller. There isn't really parking at the trail head or along the road so plan on parking at the state park and walking down (Discover pass required).
The trail itself would be perfectly fine for a wheelchair but the road down from the parking area in the state park to the trail head might be a bit too steep for comfort.

This one-mile paved trail segment runs from Battle Ground Lake State Park southwest along Clark County's Chelatchie Prairie Railroad. It is the first phase of Clark County's planned 33-mile rail-with-trail from Burnt Bridge Creek Trail to Moulton Falls Trail. The next phase is envisioned to connect this segment to Fairgrounds Park in Battle Ground in about 2 miles.
Further trail development has been stalled by lack of funding. I have heard that the next phase will be more expensive because of the need for wetlands mitigation.
The trail begins just inside the entrance of Battle Ground Lake State Park. Restrooms and drinking water are available in the park. Two parking spaces are reserved for Chelatchie Prairie Rail Trail users and do not require a Discover Pass; otherwise parking anywhere else in the park does require a Discover Pass.
The trail passes a few houses at the start but it soon is surrounded by Douglas-fir woodlands and feels very wild. The trail is ADA accessible and open to hikers, bicycles, horses and other non-motorized users. Dogs on leash only.
We met only one other person on the trail, a nearby resident who walks his dog there nearly every day. Based on all the smells my dog detected, a lot of dogs are walked on this trail.
