Hiking LIttle Blacktail Mountain

From the main trail at the end of Little Blacktail Mountain road, a multi-use trail heads uphill towards the summit in a fairly direct way. Just a couple miles from the trailhead, a spur leaves the main trail near the ridge top and winds its way out to the 4960-foot highpoint and views of the surrounding area.

From the top, there are extensive views of Lake Pend Oreille.
