part of trail North towards Museum is under water, will need to remove shoes when crossing to get back to parking area. All in all a nice walk thru the woods and along the Wenatchee River which is running fast. Saw some kayakers and 2 groups on rafts. Busy day on a beautiful afternoon.
Leavenworth is a prime location for a weekend of adventure and fun. It has cultural diversity, hikes, food and drinks. I try to visit Leavenworth every so often as they're always freshening up the area with new attractions.
Hiking the Enchantments is an easy hike. It's on mostly paved trail with a lot of wilderness surrounding you to incapsulate you with Mother Nature. The river can be heard rushing near by and depending on the season, you can watch salmon make their run. I'm sure this area would be infested with bear if it weren't a popular spot for people to wander around.
There isn't much elevation gain, it's short and depending on the weather it should be a pretty decent walk-about. During the summer it's crowded with baby strollers, runners and weekenders so if you don't like crowds, come up during the week in the spring or fall when the crowds might be less.
Be safe!
