Had the trail to ourselves today, even though plenty of cars in the parking lot. Fun little hike for young kids. Wish I would've done more research because we brought our dog, only to find out dogs are not allowed on the trail.

Wonderful fall hike through old growth forest, magnificent tress to be found with every step down the trail. Caution on the trail with tree roots, otherwise trail in good condition. Still some fall color for those who enjoy leaf peeping.  Fungi of all sorts galore!  Definitely a great fall destination for hiking.

Trail is narrow and very steep in places. Very beautiful hike.

Second little hike of the day. Google maps will take you to the right spot but I drove right by because it looked like a private driveway (see photo #4).
There were a lot of cars in the lot but I didn’t see a single person at the TH or on the trail.
The well cared for trail switchbacks pretty quickly down to the valley floor. There’s a fancy new bridge that takes you safely across the creek.
Lots of trillium, big trees and green, green, green. The “big tree” sure is big! Nice to spend a few moments taking it in.
