Hiking Big Tree Loop

The 0.9-mile Big Tree Loop Trail access is within the day-use-only Soda Springs Campground which is located off the Little Wenatchee River Road northwest of Leavenworth approximately 30 miles.

Due to the White River-Irving Peak fire started by lightning in August 2022, the Soda Springs Campground, as well as other trails within the burn area, is closed.

The Big Tree Loop has been abandoned and overgrown for a number of years. There are no plans to restore the Soda Springs Campground. Since it may be permanently closed, it will Big Tree Loop a trail of the past.

Right before the main road closure, Forest Road 6700 takes off west via a left turn. There are several hikes available from this location.
