Ancient Lakes Trailhead Ambassador Opportunity
Partnering to improve visitor experience and help trails
WTA is proud to partner with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for the second time to host a trailhead ambassador opportunity at Ancient Lakes in Central WA in 2025.
This work is a part of WDFW's 10-Year Recreation Strategy for WDFW-managed Lands, aiming to improve visitor experiences and reduce recreation impacts. In recent years, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of visitors to WDFW-managed lands, including many people who are newer to the joys of recreation and have less experience in the outdoors. The program will run from April 19-June 21 on eight Saturdays this spring.
Volunteers needed
Are you passionate about recreating responsibly and excited to welcome visitors to get outside this summer? Sign up to volunteer with WTA and WDFW this summer at Ancient Lakes. WTA is excited to recruit volunteers who are interested in welcoming visitors to this beautiful landscape, provide information about the area and offer education so that they can recreate safely and responsibly.
