Washington Trails Day celebrates the trails that connect us to our state’s natural beauty! It's also a day to take action so we can continue to benefit from these outdoor experiences.

Thank you to the 9,925 hikers who signed WTA's petition to protect public lands

This year, national leaders like the U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum have proposed selling national public lands — to give them away for development, open them to resource extraction or use them to generate revenue.

When we protect public lands…

  • Our economy wins

  • Our health wins

  • Clean water wins

  • Wildlife wins

  • We get to keep hiking the places we love for generations to come
