Manson, WA
Originally hailing from Vermont, I moved to Snoqualmie Pass, and spent the first couple of years in the state hiking at the Pass. That was back when you could hike the Snow Lake Trail after work and only encounter a handful of people on the trail. I lived in Seattle for many years, and recently moved to Manson, WA and am enjoying the lake life and exploring the Chelan Valley. I like to hike with my family (wife and younger son) on short hikes around the area, as well as get out for longer hikes and overnight trips on my own occasionally. I primarily hike around the Lake Chelan area these days, but try and venture up to the North Cascades when I can, and still have a fondness for the Central Cascades, I would definitely like to explore other regions in the state. I also like to backcountry ski, and some of my hiking centers around exploring areas in preparation for ski tours. I use wta.org to get info about hikes, as well as latest trail conditions from the numerous trip reports.
