Well, finally headed out on a snowshoe trip. Hit the TH around 9:40am, donned the MSRs and headed up the road. Shortly after the water tower, headed down to the creek bed and followed the creek up to Source Lake, while admiring several ice waterfalls. After Source Lake, switched back up to the ridge keeping to the right of the slope. Rather than pushing on to the lake after gaining the ridge, we decided to go higher, lunching at 4800'. After lunch we hike around the North Side of the ridge up to 5000' and took in the snow formations that more resembled sand dunes then what you would expect. Headed back down and hit the parking lot around 2:30. Great route, however do consult avy reports before as you cross several prone slopes.
