When we arrived at 9am the lot was less than half full, it was over half full when we left at 1 but still plenty of spots left.

The honey bucket at the trail was well maintained but does not have hand sanitizer.

Some mud and a few logs blocking the trail but mainly nice single track.

Hike was lovely! Nice even grade. Some elevation but overall not bad. The kiln was cool to see and it felt good to take a quick dip at the end. Would come back and swim more on a hotter day.

Some wildflowers and the berries were out!! Especially the salmon berries but we had some thimble berries and huckleberries as well.

First time hiking and really enjoyed it! The kiln is cool and the River made a lovely spot for lunch. Lots of ripe salmonberries to snack on!

Great hike, lots of tree shade. A series of muddy spots easily passable on logs. Poles helped a lot. Salmon berries are ripe! Bees buzzing the blackberry blooms. Nice bright green and black garter snake on the trail. Yellow swallowtails. Great spots to sit by the river. There is a stocked restroom at trailhead.

An interesting and historic trail. Kudos to the Eagle Scout who worked on this trail! Great signage. A good hike all-season hike - be prepared for mud.

Beautiful and easy trail.  Well marked and really fun to picnic at the Kiln.  We went to the end, but it's not really worth the effort.  It just dead ends in bushes.  Trail follows the river but it's too far away and straight down to get to.  Really nice family hike and we ate our fill of ripe salmon berries and red raspberry type fruit.
